S Club

S Club - Bell Tower and Vestry Groups

St Nicholas Church runs two S Club groups during most 10am services on Sundays.

(See ‘S Club Minis’ section for children under 7 years of age.)

Children aged 7 to 9 years (School Years 2-4) meet in the Bell Tower, on the 2^nd, 3^rd,4^thand 5^thSundays of the month.

Children aged 10 years and above (Year 5 onward) meet in the Vestry, on the 2^nd,3^rdand 5^thSundays.  On the 4^thSunday, Vestry Group children stay in the service with their parents.

There is no S Club on the 1^stSunday, when we have a Family Service.

Children have the chance to enjoy various Bible-based activities, material for which is taken from the publication ‘Roots’ which follows the lectionary as used for the church services.  Therefore, the readings and sermon during the main service should form the basis of teaching for the children’s session. 

Bi-annually, S Club hold an attendance awards presentation during the 10am service, where all children receive a certificate, and those who have attended for 10 weeks or more, receive a gift book.

All St Nicholas Church S Club leaders and helpers are cleared with the Enhanced CRB check.
